Der Freischütz usually translated as The Marksman or The Freeshooter) is a German opera with spoken dialogue in three acts by Carl Maria von Weber with a libretto by Friedrich Kind. We re-staged the opera in the 1920s using the influence of German Expressionism both in Art and black and white film to help tell the story of Max, a marksman who can not shot straight!
